The South Lyon Police Department is participating in a multi-jurisdictional enforcement effort as part of the "Click It or Ticket" enforcement mobilization.

The purpose of this effort is to increase public awareness of the importance of wearing vehicle safety belts. Our department will provide one officer and a patrol car to a designated area that may be in another law enforcement jurisdiction.

The goal of this enforcement effort is to create a safer driving environment on local streets and highways. The Task Force will be operating at various dates and times throughout the coming months. Special emphasis will be placed on seat belt violations, both adult and child restraints. The task force will also be watching for alcohol-related and major traffic violations.
